KCB has extensive expertise in research, studies, and assessments, particularly in disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, and resilience building. It has successfully led a diverse range of perception assessments, feasibility studies, vulnerability analyses, and evaluations for numerous national and international organizations. Key examples include assessing disaster risk perceptions for the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, evaluating inclusive disaster risk reduction (DRR) approaches, and conducting in-depth analyses of agro-product vulnerabilities due to climate change. Additionally, KCB has played a crucial role in conducting mid-term and final evaluations of resilience projects implemented by various International NGOs, ensuring that these projects meet their objectives and effectively support vulnerable populations. The organization has also carried out extensive scoping studies, covering vital areas such as mass casualty management, urban resilience, and economic empowerment for vulnerable communities, including Rohingya refugees.

A particularly significant area of KCB's work has been its focus on the FDMN (Rohingya) camps in Cox’s Bazar. Members of KCB have conducted numerous research studies and assessments in these camps, investigating critical issues such as multi-sectoral needs, economic empowerment, humanitarian response, and social protection.
